This one is my favorite. It took lots of time . I was totally confused about what paper to use for the center. It led me to an idea of making it on my own. I was having decoupage napkin and I used that to make the center of my card. I did decoupage by adding little glitter to the flowers and die cut with Labels 17.

Other supplies used are :

Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 17 Seventeen.
French doily (Marraine )
Justrite Floral flourishes Backgroud stamp

Hello !!

I don’t know about you but one of my favorite parts of crafting is collecting fun supplies.Especially stamps and dies. But then these need to be used properly. The day I organized my stamps and dies I was amazed to see my collection. But they were worth nothing if I couldn't use them. Its an year now that I have been into paper craft...watching so many crafters participating in various challenges. Even I wanted the same but lack of time and my health problems did not allow me to do so for long.

The other day scrolling down my facebook page I visited Justrite stampers and came across their Friday Challenges and promised myself to participate this time. I hardly have few of justrite stamps but tried hard for this Justrite Challenge #102 Color Inspiration.I just loved working with these stamps and wish to add many more to my stamp collection. I came up with these three cards. Here are the pics of the cards with their details.

Core'dination paper
Spellbinders A2 Bracket Borders One

One perfect day..

Posted by Rajni Chawla

Hi..

The clock kept ticking.....the hours n days are going by....and one more year passed without you.

We never can just stop time. Or take moments back.
Life doesn't work that way, does it???
I still can’t believe that he is gone, and perhaps I never will. I never thought that I would be alone, and in my mind, I know that being alone is the hardest thing that I will ever have to do.
It will be completing 5 years on 7th Aug without him. My friends and family assume that I am moving on.  Little do they know that there are days when all I do is think about him, days when all I long for is to see his smile, and feel his touch just one more time.  Little do they know that after five years there are nights when I still cry myself to sleep.

AHHH !!!
“time heals all wounds.”  I want to tell people that the wound in my heart remains open, and that time will never heal it.  But, they wouldn’t understand.  Time for me has only led to a form of acceptance.  A form of acceptance that comes and goes as it pleases, because there are days when you cannot accept the loss.  Yes, there are days when grief washes over you in uncontrollable waves of sadness.

I somewhere read.... “Our wounds run deep, our undying love is forever, and staying connected beyond the veil brings us comfort.”
Today the waves of pain are less frequent but no less intense. I cry unexpectedly and then feel better.  I’ve learned to live without him but not to forget him; to honor the memory of what was, while functioning in the world that is.

Today I am sharing this project to welcome the sadness that keeps us connected .This picture has captured a moment that has gone forever....but will always remain alive in my heart. If I could, I would live forever in this moment. But no one can live in a moment, and time moves......on.
This is my DT project for CCC Blog's Nail it down with textures Aug month challenge.Hop on to see some more fabulous creations from rest of our DT's.

My first attempt on using quilled creations jewellery rings..

Posted by Rajni Chawla

Hello friends !!

I have been a lousy blogger not at all active in making any post on blog.Sorry,I kept you waiting for so long.....will try to maintain my regularity now.

Recently I have added few new products to my craft room. Quilled creation jewellery rings...Washi Tapes...UTEE and so many new dies. Quilled Creation Jewelry rings are brass rings with black nickel-free and lead free base. These rings are available in 5/8th" and 1/4th"in size n 1/8th" depth and comes 2 pieces per pack.My daughter was after  me to make something for her with these amazing rings. She was very happy when she got two instead of one and that too....colors of her choice.
Some times I really get very confused when so many new things gets piled up and i don't get sufficient time to try my hands on them.Today I'll be sharing the result of my this beautiful confusion.I called it beautiful as it really turned up so well. Everything i used was quite new to me. Read so many reviews about these rings n UTEE  but was not sure at all how will they turn out when combined together.

Here is what I came  up with...

Here is the side view....
Isn't it yummy!!!

I know you guys are definitely going to try this beauty. Here is the tutorial for this...

Prepare a card stock of light color matching to your washi tapes by sticking them together without leaving any space in between. Either die cut or use templates to cut 2 different sizesof flowers. Ink up the flower cut outs with versamark ink and sprinkle UTEE. Shake off excess UTEE. Hold the die cut with your foreceps and melt it with heating tool. Repeat the process till u get desired results. Shape up the petals when little warm. Pierce both the flowers with Crop a dile and hold them together with a brad. Give a fine quoting of mod podge to make it wash proof. Now fix the ready flower to quilled creation jewellery ring with glossy accent.

You can easily find Quilled Creation Jewelry Rings at Imaginations, the Premium Craft Supply Store.

Happy crafting :)

Getting more addicted with washi...!!!

Posted by Rajni Chawla

Hello friends !!

What is addiction ??

"When you can stop you don't want to, and when you want to stop, you can't...”

I am addicted to flowers....and now getting addicted to Washi Tapes. My collection of Washi Tapes is increasing day by day and so is my addiction of making flowers. Two months back I was totally new and din't even knew how and where to use them. And today i am here again with my new post to show u what I created with these super addictive colorful tapes.

Hope I inspire u in creating something new today.

Here is the tutorial for you...
Supplies needed...

a. Washi tapes
b. 26 gauge floral wire
c. Green or brown floral tape
d. Strong thread
e. Flower stamens /small glass beads

Sandwich the wire between washi tape as shown and shape it like a petal.Press it firmly. You will need 5 to 6 petals for single flower. But I some times make my flowers with 2 or 3 petals also. I don't restrict myself to size and no. of petals. It should be eye pleasing ....thats it!!
Simply twist the petals to make it look more natural. For stamens u can use either ready stamens or small glass beads. For beaded stamens fill one fourth of floral wire with small white glass beads,Make a small loop with beads leaving 4 inches of bare wire on starting end (for holding) and make a twist. Repeat the same process with next two loops.Bring the remaining wire down and trim rest of the extra wire.Hold one petal around the stamens and tie with a strong thread.Tie rest of the petals one by one forming a flower giving a tight knot between each petal.Wrap it with floral tape.

You can arrange a bunch with 2 or more flowers according to your needs.Add some leaves, spirals or ribbons if of you want.

How is this???

this...????

and this...???

and this...???

Aren't they pretty?

all  are the results of my addiction to Washi's now !!Here is the tutorial for these....I know you would definitely want to try these.

The above three are the same made with different sizes of flower template but the yellow one is with same size template. For  making these  you can use any 5 petal flower die or you can even use any retro flower template. I could have used punch but I din't preferred taking any risk for my such expensive craft supplies. This way even I can improve my speed of cutting .Lolzz!!

For these prepare a card stock of any light color by sticking washi tapes of your choice. Fussy cut or die cut and pinch all the petals at the tips as you like. You can cut 2 or 3 different sizes if you want. Form a flower by layering different sizes or same size holding with a brad in the center. Here is a video tutorial for your reference.

Just a little embossing and you can give a new look to your flower. Here I did one for you.

In the above flower I have embossed each petal from the back using my ball tool and perforating pad. I think most of all the crafters know how to simply emboss the petals with ball tool.Still here is the video of few simple techniques of making flowers with a punch or  a template for all freshers.

Now on to my another addiction.....addiction of buying new craft supplies. The more I promise myself not to buy,the more I buy!!
Cant't resist you know.Is this the same with you also??

I specially opened my new bottle of UTEE  for washi....was very scared about the results.Though I had my melt art supplies with me since long....but tried using it for the first time.Look at the results I got..

Look at the side view...
How yummy these are !!!

My daughter was asking for one few days back and she got two. Lucky hun !!
Here is the tutorial for those who have pretty daughters like me.

Ink your cut outs with versamark ink. Sprinkle Ultra thick embossing powder and shake off excess of it. Hold the cut out with foreceps and melt it using your heat gun. Repeat the process and keep adding layers of UTEE until you get the desired look. Simply shape them when little warm. Assemble both the layers with a brad in the center and made rings by gluing them on quilled creations jewellery rings glossy accents. Don't forget to seal the back of the flower with mod podge to make it wash proof. You can also use these flowers as embellishments for your projects.

So...how did you like my addictions.

Am I wrong if I am getting addicted to these beautiful tapes....???

Am I wrong if I am more into buying ??

actually.....I love both  :)

Getting addicted to some product and creating something new every time u sit n work is the best thing every crafter should have. These sweet little addictions keep us growing every day.So if you are also addicted to buying.......just log on to our website. The Craft Shop has added a huge range of Washi Tapes at a very reasonable prices for you. All the products used in my above projects are available at our store. Shop a lot and share a lot and...win a lot!! I mean do take part in our on going Challenge 2 Trash to Treasure using Washi Tapes
