Saving a little time for you

Posted by Rajni Chawla

Hello all

Today, its 5th Feb. Its a special day for me because its my daughters birthday. She's 17 now.
WOW....can't believe where the time go!!

She's always complaining that I don't give her sufficient time .
"Mom you are always busy with your craft work."
Yes...she is so true. I was really not taking out time for her after she lost her father. I was so stuck up with my work. So,I decided to give her something that can always remind me that my little one needs my attention.
Yesterday we spent a whole day together chatting n enjoying and off course shopping and  presented her with a beautiful card along with her b'day cake exactly when the clock struck 12 in the night. Today I'm sharing the same card with you all.

I designed my card keeping the current challenge  of JustRite #113 in my mind . I was so excited  to use my latest January release Time For You  Cling Stamp. I followed the 5th edition of JustRite Tuesday tutorial in which Heidi , heat embossed the image on pattern paper. I gave a little twist and combined two different stamps French Rose background stamp and Time For You Cling Stamp  and tried layered stamping to create the back ground. Here are the pics of few steps....sorry I'm not into so much of clicking that's why missed taking clicks of few steps. Hope i'm able to make you understand the step by step procedure to make this background.

I randomly stamped French Rose Cling Stamp on white card stock with Black Archival Ink and then stamped again using Time For You Cling Stamp.

I next stamped  using same Time For You Stamp with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Ranger Superfine Golden Embossing Powder.

Main attraction of my card is the embellishment that I made with same stamped image. For this I stamped the image, fussy cut and then inked using Scattered Straw and Walnut Stain. Then I used Versamark on whole image and heat set using Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel. Sorry I got so impatient to see the end product   that I skipped clicking step by step pictures.

Here is the video tutorial that can help working with UTEE. I added more then 3 layers to get the end look.

Last but not the least...the whole stamped image was inked using different shades of Distress Inks. Here is the final look the background.

Now the complete look.....after adding so many layers using die cuts and different card stocks.

I rolled down one corner and arranged a small bouquet of flowers which express my feelings  and tied that bunch of flowers with the clock saying Saving  a little time for you. I was so satisfied after designing it as the card said it all....and will keep reminding me of my baby.
Opps!!
She says...she's not a baby now. She has turned into a sweet little lady..but will always remain like a baby in my heart.

Since I have skipped clicking few steps...if you have any query please feel free to ask me by leaving a comment or by mailing me at rajnichawla69@gmail.com.

Thanks for stopping by
((Hugs))
