Alcohol Ink Card
Posted by Rajni Chawla
Hello friends....
Its being long that I have been absent form my blog. First of all sorry for that....will try to be regular in sharing my work. Though I was absent from my blog but I was very regular reader to most favourite blogs that I follow. Without reading blogs and without digging to new you-tube tutorials I can't sleep. If I am not wrong, we all crafters are same. The more we dig into new techniques...the more sound and calm sleep we get and the more fresh we are next day when we enter our craftrooms..
No more talks now !!
Lets have a look to my latest card that I made.
I am regular follower of tutorials by Jill Avery Foster and Vicky Clipsncuts. I often see them working on water color painting and mixed media projects with Penny Black stamps and dies and loved them too. Few days back I got my latest collection of Penny Black Creative dies in my hand and got fascinated to try my hand on the same . I tried few cards with brush stroke painting and loved the results too but failed to post due to my tight schedule. Now a days Penny Black latest collection is in trend. Most of all my fellow crafters are working with the same technique .
I know something...if you really want to stand out your work, you really have to do something different. I don't know about others but I sometimes don't like being a part of the crowd. If you like it.take inspiration from it!! Just don't copy because its all about being unique. Or if you want then observe other people's styles and do complete opposite, then you'll stand out like a sore thumb.....in a good way off course!!
With every little change we polish our creativity....isn't it??
So I decided to give my creation a change and totally changed the medium.

So I decided to give my creation a change and totally changed the medium.
I opened my folder of must try techniques and followed the tutorial by Dina Kowal. Here is the direct link to the tutorial which I followed. I completely changed the medium from water color to my favorite alcohol medium and the results were really awesome.
Here are few close ups of the card.
I am just in love with alcohol inks....really really love this medium.
The colors are little messy and difficult to handle but I am addicted to them.
I have used Spellbinder's Reflective Moment and Penny Black Sun Fire Creative Die for this project. Stamp used is Edge to Edge from Penny Black again.

Do leave some words of love if you liked my card.
Soon I will be posting my water color work also....so stay tuned!!
Thanks for stoping by and special thanks to my friend due to whom I started writting my blog again.
Happy Crafting !!
((Hugs))
